2CV'S TO BUY, TO SELL, WHERE TO GO FOR PARTS, FOR TYRES, HOW TO LOOK AFTER THAT PRECIOUS ADORABLE 2CV PLUS  MUCH MORE.......
We had the 2007 TTTT Rally a couple weeks back with 32 entries, the day dawned fine, though everyone was hoping for a little rain to dampen down the dusty forest roads, all cars assembled at Bevans Garage, a flock or gaggle of cars from all eras and areas, some far away as WARKWORTH, thanks guys you made our day!!  This was Bevans swan song  after selling his business, to have a glorious array of beautiful vintage cars in his yard for the very last time..so then it was away at minute intervals, & 2hrs or more navigating  desolate  bumpy  very dusty foresty roads, some signs very oblique as one local found to his dismay, getting hopelessly lost!!! ooer whoops ..Once again a glorious view of the snow capped mountains with nary a cloud in sight, finally we all met up at the LITCHFIELD SCHOOL HALL where a sumptuous afternoon tea was laid out and prize giving commenced whilst a search and rescue operation was put into force by a few trusty members to  recsue  the lost ones from the murky depths of  an unforgiving   KINLIETH  forest, lol he'll never live that down, will download these photos soon, stay tuned

2008....just an update, have no 2cv at the moment, needs new kingpins, so has been its off the road for a couple mths, ooer I do miss it as its so cool to travel in with this spell of very hot weather, one also dropt an heavy object in ones foot...eek! so have missed a few  club outings, hope to get some pics of the last citroen rally  from a friend and will post online..hope all are geared for the year 2008! happy and motoring!

2009.. just to  say hello and hope all have a super year for motoring, lets hope the petrol prices stay down! MI2CV is raring to go, unfortunately I have developed a hip problem, hmm you know what that is like, waiting now for a replacement, however good news is I can travel well in the 2CV, thats about the only car I can sit it, shes a beauty! Missed the annual 2008 TTTTRALLY, but by all accounts it was a brilliant success  as usual, I just couldn't face being jolted around forestry roads....
April 2009..Now I am only motoring out in MI2CV, waiting for a hip replacement its the only car I can travel in.....darn missing some good rallies too, but I shall be as right as rain soon
.oh how we love our 2CV'S!! Happy and safe motoring to all.....
A recent trip to the Rotorua  Paradise Lion Park on  Sept., 20th 2009 was enjoyed by members of the Waikato Citroen Car Club, followed by a very nice lunch and good company at our host Kevins beautiful Rotorua home, complete with warm swimming pool for the brave and a hot spa for the cold ones..One of the highlights for  me were the tipsy Tuis larking about in the blossom laden Kowhai trees, filling the air with their thoaty chuckles. Was not so impressed with the 7 lions stuck in a wire enclosure.

Hi folks I hope you are enjoying your visit to Citroen 2cv downunder, here I will endeavour to keep you up with any 2cv news or rallies, we have more action down  in the  South Island, to my knowledge there is no club here in the North Island specifcally for our quirky 2cv's, but there is still plenty of action in various Car Clubs just enquire around your area, I joined the South Waikato Car Club  & Citroen Car Club for that reason and they are a very friendly crowd who make one very welcome, the annual Forest Rally  for the SWCC is very very interesting, but I found for my little car was a bit rough in a few places, but then I coddle it a bit, the engine is amazing as any 2cv owner will testify, however  I do pamper my baby somewhat, I notice in overseas rallies they really thrash the  old 2cvs , great motors seem to go forever, great for aircraft engine conversion because of their reliability, now that must be a plus! The 2cv is also one of the  most comfy cars I have been in, marvellous suspension, one thing I have noticed driving around is that children always notice the 2cv before the adults and their faces break out into wondering smiles, I guess our quirky little cars look a bit like 'Noddy's car"
Now if you would like your special baby to be online for the world to see, send me jpg of you and your 2cv, dyane, ami, etc., with the relevant info and it shall be done, or any other news re our wonderful citroen family..........
