On a recent trip up the North Island we stopped at the coastal town of Thames and checked out old Grahamstown, with its fascinating old world atmosphere and remnants of the late 1889.1900 buildings and mining history, In the mid 1800's Grahamstown was a hive of industry with the on going Gold rush , wharves and many hotels catering for the influx of tourists goods etc., ..
I do love this part of the country..above is MI2CV outside one of A& G Prices old building..echos of the past....below is an old Hotel Royal which I have been checking out
