Reg & Poko Blomfield are members of the NZ SUNBEAM CAR CLUB and the SOUTH WAIKATO VINTAGE CAR CLUB, Poko Blomfield being the current Club Captian. The South Waikato Vintage Car Club boasts of a rather special club house, this rather unique stone building once having been , among other things, a Church, a pub, situated at Litchfield, Tokoroa, and also once upon a time a bank.. |

We recently had a visitor from the UK who was trying to find some 2CV clubs, alas Nikki didn't have much joy in the North Island, but hopefully Southern hospitality came to the fore.. Nikki is the secretary to a UK 2CV FIRKIN FLYERS CLUB, and plays the bagpipes !! |
Mon ami above is my M12CV, parked at OHAUPO Service Station, Nth Is, New Zealand , amid a group very sporty gleaming Sunbeams. Lol don't think some were impressed! On Sunday the 22th June /06 we were the guests of Mr and Mrs Reg Blomfield, of TOKOROA, joining the NZ SUNBEAM CAR CLUB at a mid winter luncheon at OHAUPO.. Gathering at this rendez vous, was a beautiful array of gleaming Sunbeam Cars from various parts of the Nth Island... A tasty lunch , sans vino, was enjoyed by all at the Longitude Cafe OHAUPO......, Later after a look at some other really choice grunty specialized cars, we each wed our way home, we Bloms taking the the old Taupo Road back to Tokoroa which was a very exciting windy road through Hodderville country...... |
